Privacy policy
Plain-language privacy details: what we collect, what we don’t, and how transliteration requests work.
1) What this tool does
This website provides transliteration: it converts Hindi written in English letters (Hinglish) into Devanagari script. It is not full English→Hindi translation.
2) Information we collect (basic operations)
Like most websites, we may collect basic technical data needed to run and secure the service:
- IP address (security, abuse prevention)
- Browser user-agent (debugging and compatibility)
- Basic request metadata (time, route, response codes)
3) How conversion requests work
When you use the converter, the text chunk you ask to convert is sent to our server, and the server requests transliteration suggestions from an external input method service (Google Input Tools endpoint).
- We send only the text needed for conversion (small chunks while typing or chunks during “Convert all”).
- We use caching to reduce repeated calls and improve speed.
- We do not require a login to use the converter.
4) Caching & retention
We may temporarily cache conversion results for performance (for example, repeated words). Cached entries expire automatically and are used only to speed up the tool and reduce load.
5) Cookies
This site may use cookies for basic functionality (for example theme preference stored in your browser). If ads are enabled, ad providers may also use cookies/identifiers per their policies.
6) Contact
For privacy questions, please contact us using the contact form.
7) Changes
We may update this policy to reflect improvements, legal requirements, or advertising setup. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date above.
