# Instant Hindi

> Free browser-based Hinglish to Hindi transliteration tool. Type Hindi words using English letters and convert them to Devanagari script.

Instant Hindi converts roman Hindi (Hinglish) into Devanagari script. This is transliteration, not translation — it changes the script, not the language. Typing "mera naam Rahul hai" produces "मेरा नाम राहुल है". Typing an English sentence like "I want tea" will NOT produce the Hindi translation; it will attempt to spell the English words in Devanagari.

## Key facts

- Transliteration only — not a translator
- Three conversion modes: Word (converts on space), Sentence (converts after . ? ! or । + space), Paragraph (converts on blank line)
- A "Convert all" button processes the whole text box at once
- Roughly 800 characters per conversion request; longer text is processed in chunks
- No account or login required
- Output is Devanagari (Hindi) script
- Free to use
- URLs and email addresses are deliberately left unconverted so they don't break
